The Shopping Cart (February/March)

the shopping cart

It's that time of the month not that's the one where I round up all my purchases for your voyeuristic pleasure & tell you about each of them.

As always, any sales or links mentioned in this post are correct at the time of publishing. If by chance those links are broken or sales are no longer happening by the time you read this post, then I can't nor won't be held responsible.

Both February & March were low buy months for me, but nevertheless I have enough stuff to post about. Let's see what I have bought in the last 2 months:

marcs shirt dress

marcs shirt dress 2

Marcs Stripe Asymmetrical Hem Dress - size 8 - lusted after it for weeks but didn't buy it for some reason, only to stumble across it by chance - I'm loving the shirt dress trend atm & this will be perfect for those smart casual occasions where I'm wondering what to wear - managed to get it for under half its original RRP YAY - the discount was much needed since Marcs is expensive AF....and now in administration...probably because of how expensive their stuff is...

miss shop casual blue denim jacket

Miss Shop Casual Blue Denim Jacket - size 8 - have been wanting one for aaaaaages, but couldn't find one I liked within a reasonable price - got 20% off - I like the cropped fit of it - it's surprisingly stretchy, so don't be afraid to buy your usual size if you're like me & normally go up a size with jackets - I've worn it 7 times since I bought it, which is testament to how much I dig it - sorry for the colour discrepancies between photos, in person its more like the 2nd photo than the 1st

target star print tee

star print tee
Tee at full length
Target Star Print Tee - size 8 - could maybe have squeezed into a 6 if they had it - this will easily be the cheapest tee I buy all year as it was $6!! - like the star print & the relaxed fit means it's comfy & perfect for tucking into jeans (which I now plan on doing) or skirts - I can roll it up (as seen in the 1st photo above) and wear it that way too - P.S. The jeans I'm wearing are old

forever new pippa rose gold hoop earrings in ear
Forever New Pippa rose gold hoop earrings in my ear - excuse my sweaty hair!

forever new pippa rose gold earrings in hand
Forever New Pippa rose gold hoop earrings - true colour - soz for the blur
Forever New Pippa hoop earrings (rose gold) - my love of rose gold continues - despite having enough earrings to sink a battleship, I couldn't resist these as I don't own a pair of rose gold hoops & I liked the simplicity & thickness of them - they look really nice in my ears - I included the 2nd photo because my camera & background turned my earrings golden rather than rose golden

mask, cleansing balm, candle

Andalou Naturals Brightening Serum Mask
I've tried the clay version of this mask & loved it, so I'm keen to see how this goes on my face.
Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm
You've seen me bang on enough about this, I need not say anything else.

Glasshouse x Peter Alexander Chocolate Brownie candle
Thank you Peter Alexander for re-releasing this beauty! The origins of this candle begin with his stores (it came out as an Easter release about 2-3 years ago), before it was released into Glasshouse's regular collection under the name Chicago (it has since been discontinued sadly); so I guess this is a full circle kinda thing. Anyway, what you need to know is it is price-y ($46.95AUD), but if you can't resist gourmand, chocolate-y smells, then jump on this before PA sells out. I know I couldn't resist.

Kmart PJ bottoms (flannelette & knit)
You know the drill: you go into a store for 1 thing (in my case, to look at a garment steamer that Beth from Almost Posh had recommended) & end up coming out with something else (in my case, 4 different PJ bottoms). The lighter PJ bottoms (like the ones I'm wearing above) will come in handy during the transeasonal months (i.e. right now & spring), meanwhile the others I bought for the hell of it.

What do you think of my picks? Have you purchased anything exciting in the last 2 months?

  1. Ooh I haven't seen that Target star tee in stores but I WANT IT NOW! How cute. Like the other purchases too! And that candle sounds amazing. I'd rather buy one good one for $$ that had proper long-lasting scent than many inferior ones for less.

    1. GO AND GET THAT TEE! There's another Target tee that I'm after too, but I'm having a hard time finding it in my size. :o( Yes, the Chocolate Brownie candle is frickin' amazing & I feel the same way about candles. I don't mind how much I pay, as long as the scent throw is excellent/long-lasting.

  2. That Glasshouse candle sounds amazing! Loving your dress, too! Great shopping! xx

    1. Oh it is amazing Di. I haven't burnt it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I love my dress too, so happy I found it in the end!
